Birenjit is an experienced, results driven, multi domain business development and management professional. He has over thirty years of varied experience and has led high performance teams and worked in significant roles in the PC industry, desktop productivity, groupware, offshoring/outsourcing, CRM, contact centre and automotive industries. He has experienced the evolution of the IT industry both from a sales perspective and as a user. He is an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University and has graduated from the Shri Ram College of Commerce. He has worked with companies such as IBM Software (heading Marketing and Corporate Communications for Lotus (IBM) Software for ASEAN / India), Oracle Corporation (looking after North American business partner support), iGATE (heading Offshore Sales) and HCL-Hewlett Packard in key positions. He is a media trained, corporate communications professional. He also has strong domain expertise in the automotive sector, having spent his formative years in Tata Motors, and in large conglomerates in the middle east. He has substantial exposure within the GCC, where he has worked with the largest business group in Oman. His experience encompasses Tech, Digital Transformation and Automotive.
Business development and customer acquisition are his strengths and he believes in making and nurturing long term contacts. He has successfully converted startup projects into profitable ventures. He has worked with diverse, multi-cultural teams.
He was awarded an IBM scholarship throughout his graduation and post – graduation, based on academic excellence.
His interests are traveling, photography and listening to music.
